Well the annual event is here again and I’m happy to say last year we had  a group of 22 of us plus the regular Cadillac people. For all you folks that would like the details about the river that we will be canoeing on it is called the "Rifle River" in Standish MI. This trip is put on by Cadillac Group at General Motors, which means a bunch of my Dad’s buddies. They have been doing this trip on the same river for over 31 years. I tried to con Tractor Bob to come along with the gang but no go. For those of you that would like to go read the flyer and contact Karen below.

New for this year:

This year you will have the option to tube or canoe down the river. Doug wants to tube down the river and I figure after all these years I would give it a shot since all I end up doing is floating down the river anyways. So you will have the option to tube or canoe down the river. However if you TUBE down the river you will be dropped off at a different location and will never see any of the Canoer's. Which is why I'm not tubing this year.

PRICES

For those of you that have heard a couple different prices here is the break down and the FINAL story on the price for this year. Tony has pre-paid the GROUP already so just give TONY or Karen the money for your remaining balance. Money is due by July 18th, 1999. I had to track people down for months after the trip to get this money. Please contact Karen at 810.634.4783 to get her your money.

End of the RIVER!

Better GET OUT HERE or keep floating!!!!

Campground Information

bulletThe campgrounds have showers but cost a $1 or something like that. (or jump in the LAKE)
bulletThe campgrounds have Electric and WATER (well water).
bulletThere is a Store at the Campground that sells BEER and ICE and few other things.
bulletTents and RV’s are WELCOME.
bulletNOTE: CELL PHONES DO NOT WORK at the campgrounds!

What time should I get there?

bulletMost of us are taking Friday off of work and plan on getting up there around 2:00 pm. I would suggest getting UP THERE BEFORE it gets dark because it’s a PAIN in the ass to setup a tent in the DARK.
