Well the annual event is here again and I’m happy to say we have a group of 22 of us plus the regular Cadillac people. For all you folks that would like the details about the river that we will be canoeing on it is called the "Rifle River" in Standish MI. This trip is put on by Cadillac Group at General Motors, which means a bunch of my Dad’s buddies. They have been doing this trip on the same river for over 30 years. I tried to con Tractor Bob to come along with the gang but no go. And Doug won’t make it this year because he doesn’t want to canoe he wants to TUBE down the river. So maybe we’ll give that a try next year.

Campground Information
bulletThe campgrounds have showers but cost a $1 or something like that.
bulletThe campgrounds have Electric and WATER (well water).
bulletThere is a Store at the Campground that sells BEER and ICE and few other things.
bulletTents and RV’s are WELCOME.

What time should I get there?

Most of us are taking Friday off of work and plan on getting up there around 2:00 pm. I would suggest getting UP THERE BEFORE it gets dark because it’s a PAIN in the ass to setup a tent in the DARK.
