Well well well. Year 9 for the WESTPORT Mardi Gras trip and grandfather Doug is leading the way in years of Mardi Gras. Remember next year is the REAL carnival in RIO. Anyway the site is dedicated for the people that really go to Mardi Gras and need the information. There always the nah sayers and NEXT YEAR list people that love to read this page. And they say next year I'll go but as time passes them by they grow old and forget what a time they could of had. So to the facts this is year 9th for WESTPORT Mardi Gras Trip. Everyone pretty much knows the schedule of events and what they are INCHARGE of by now I hope. For the ROOKIES good luck on learning the traditions just remember there could be a Long walk in your future. And I missed last year but will actually say I will make it this year. I WILL BE THERE!
Summary of what the deal is.
For those of you that do not know Mardi Gras falls on February 8th 2005. Most of the group is flying in on February 4th and leaving Friday February 11th.
Anyone that is interested in going will have to book there flight tickets and let me know if you want me to make room for you in a condo.

Tony will pre pay ticket and you will pay him back.

Last year we got jammed on the condo fee and it worked out to something like 500 per person just for the condo. So I'm not quoting any Condo Rates till January . So if you want to stay with us plan on reserving $500 for the condo and if the price is more I'll let you know less/more.
Condo DEPOSIT is Due to Tony December 1st of $200 per person. IF YOU DO NOT SEND A DEPOSIT YOU do NOT have a room!
After I get the EXACT condo prices that BALANCE money will be DUE to me before Feb 1st or you DO NOT have a room reserved

Condo Information:
If you plan on staying in a condo I need to get $200 security deposit that is
NON-REFUNDABLE because all the money for the condo needs to be paid up front and there is
NO REFUNDs. The condo's that we booked last year was pretty nice. Had a balcony, hot tub,
kitchen, and all the things that you hope a nice condo will have. They slept 4 people
unless you want to sleep on the floor. One condo for the week is around $2400 which breaks
down to about $612 per person if you sleep 4 in your condo.
Flight Information:
The longer you wait to book your flight the higher the price. Some of us
bought our tickets back in March for $310.00. Prices as of 10/1/2002 is about
$542 for direct depending on what times you want to fly.
Feb 4th Depart DTW at 9:00am arrive MSY 10:51am
Feb 9th Depart MSY to DTW (I'm going home on Wednesday)
After we land the limo will drop Doug and Mote off at the store so they can pick up the store things and the limo will go to the condo to drop off everyone and the luggage. Then the limo will go back to pick up the store runners and take the store supplies to the room.
Bead Information:
I would recommend considering buying beads before you go down to New Orleans to try to save some money contact Doug or Tony for more information in buying beads.
