WESTPORT’S GOODBYE SUMMER…

HELLO "INDIAN SUMMER!!!"

FRIDAY, September 1st to MONDAY, September 4TH 2000

FEATURING "VICE NITE," on Saturday, the 2nd!!!

As always...Anytime to Anytime!

The traditionalists say Summer is from the Memorial Day weekend to the Labor Day weekend( I wonder what they have to say this year? Hahaha!) and the contemporaries, myself included, say it’s from early May, sometimes April, to November, possibly December, which, of course includes the "Indian Summer" that is so wonderful and enjoyable in MI! Perhaps it may be easily defined by saying Summer is when you turn the furnace off and Fall(or Winter) starts when you turn it back on.

So, regardless if you see this glass half full or half empty you are cordially invited to the Goodbye to Summer…Hello "Indian Summer" Pow Wow(yes, a terrible pun!) and be ready to party no matter what your Summer thoughts are!!!

"Vice Nite!" Huh? Glad you asked….After all, what’s yours? Cigarettes? Alcohol(Beer, Wine, Liquor)? Drugs(Besides the two already mentioned that is!)? Perhaps a certain food/desserts or drink(Coffee, Tea, Pop, Bottled Water)? Sex(Oh, yeah the possibilities run wild here!)? Cigars(Tiparillo’s!)?, Chew? Oh none you say? LIAR!!! LIAR(Wasn’t this a movie?!) Let me be the first to say that. Anyhow, all vices are welcome regardless of the what and no judgements will be/are made(those of you have been at WESTPORT know how true that is!!!) no matter what!!!! Promise(Scouts honor!)!!! So share and enjoy them as you never know, do you, if it could be the last time(First time!)? In addition to sharing them and enjoying them you are consequently requested, asked(politely, of course!) and shall we say demanded to dress accordingly to signify your vice-yes, to have your dress emulate, if only in a small fashion your vice, or vices. Interesting concept, don’t you think? A costume party with a twist!!! OK, to further heighten, and peak your interest, your curiosity, as well as your creativity, a special prize, chosen just for you, will be rewarded for the "Best Custume" as determined by

your judges, Doug and Tony.

NOTES: All campers are welcome to head out, get set up(You have two acres at the estate for that "Up North feeling without going Up North!") , and commence to get the festivities started on Friday nite!!! All of the usual water/beach activities, as well as pool, horseshoes, etc; etc

So come on down and enjoy the old "Fun in the Sun(It’s always "sunny in the 70’s" at Hamburg and if it storms it always "Blows right over!") and bring the appropriate stuff for you... the lawnchairs, bug spray, towels, beverages(12’s, cases, 30 packs, our standard!), ice, etc etc etc!!! Boats are always welcome and we have the launch too. Bonfire(Pat’s on it, yeah right!!!) every nite so bring the marshmallows!
